Good Practices Panel

The “Good Practices Panel” hosted by İlbank, which will last for 3 days, started today! The panel was organized with the participation of 30 Metropolitan Municipalities. In the panel, in addition to sharing the processes of Konya and Eskişehir Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, experiences in SKHP processes abroad were shared with the contributions of foreign participants.

What Happened in the Good Practices Panel?

In the Good Practice Examples Panel, İLBANK International Relations Department Head Mr. Şevket Altuğ Taşdemir and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department Head Dr. Hasan Görgülü made the opening speeches.

Outcomes of the Sustainable Mobility and SUMP Preparation in Konya were shared with the participants by Project Head of Transportation Department of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. Hasan Görgülü and Konya Metropolitan Municipality High City Planner & SUMP Coordinator Mrs. Aişe İçli.

Outcomes of the Sustainable Mobility and SUMP Preparation Project in Eskişehir were shared with the participants by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning Branch Dep. Manager & SUMP Coordinator Mrs. Gülden Bozbay and Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality City Planner Mrs. Merve Özkiremitçi.

EY Croatia Partner Mrs. Majda Pavlekovic and EY Croatia Senior Consultant Mr. Mateo Uravic shared his Zadar SUMP Experience with the participants.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Senior City Planner & SUMP Coordinator Mrs. Aise İçli, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning Branch Dep. Manager & SUMP Coordinator Mrs. Gülden Bozbay, EY Croatia Partner Mrs. Majda Pavlekovic and EY Croatia Senior Consultant Mr. Mateo Uravic contributed to the panel with his valuable information and shares.

The Good Practices Panel was moderated by EY Turkey Project Deputy Team Leader & Public Advisory Services Manager Mrs. Defne Aşkar Şekkeli and was held with panelists who are experts in their fields.

In the Good Practices Panel, EY Turkey Project Deputy Team Leader & Public Advisory Services Manager Mrs. Defne Aşkar Şekkeli gave information about the Medium Term Development Plan and the Finance Approach. She explained how the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and Medium Term Development Plan and the Financial Approach Harmonization process can be handled by municipalities with different scenarios.

EY Turkey Project Team Leader Mr. Mustafa ERUYAR gave information about the guide published on the harmonization process of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) and the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) and the Example of the Konya & Eskişehir SUMP Preparation Project. Potential areas of cooperation that should be focused on in the harmonization process were mentioned and the factors that could affect the harmonization process were explained.

Measures for Konya and Eskişehir that are related to SECAP, which have an impact on the environment and climate change were shown.
